I often think about what I’d wish for if I were ever given actual wishes. I could whip out the usual world peace, equality-and-harmony stuff, but in reality, I’d just really love to be able to buy the correct amount of bananas for once in my life. What you will always get right, however, is choosing a glass of this gris. Mineral-rich and apple-driven with pops of pear and quince, this pinot gris has style and sophistication up the wazoo. Clean yet weighty and substantial, it’ll make an impression on whoever sippeth. Pumpkin soup? Souperb.
