Zephyr Marlborough Chardonnay 2019 $31.99
This bright like a yellow diamond 2019 release is one that any chardonnay fan will enjoy I’m sure. That’s because it’s just darn yummy, beautifully balanced, fat and juicy, with a bit of smokiness, ripe grapefruit flavours and buckets of baked nectarine and creamy, crushed almond, characters. There’s a lovely sneaky sexy seam of toasty oak note and from the first taste you’re hit with an eruption of stonefruit and spice. The acidity is fresh, but it’s a young wine so that’s to be expected, yet it has a cardigan, a cloak if you will of creaminess that cuddles and adds complexity to the citrus and stonefruit. The finish is lithe and luscious. Love it!
