Inky dark and oozing that gorgeous menthol, bay and concentrated boysenberry notes that give me the cabernet-dominant goosebumps, this classic blend cries out to be sipped and savoured over a slab of steak or a Lada-full of slow-cooked lentils, or a mountainous plate of moussaka -whatever tickles your tastebuds will be sensorially (new word) elevated with a glass of this by its side. Dried herb notes merge with pepper, leather and a twang of tobacco leaf in the mid-palate and the tannins are sandy-soft yet solid.
