Reading the list of ingredients alone (leek, turmeric, coriander, cumin, chard, spinach, kale, lemon, mint, parsley, dill and shallots etc…) had me instantly reaching for a bottle of Tohu Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2019 ($17) Why? Because it has an overflow of gentle herbaceousness and heaves with florals and luscious lime notes that’s why. There’s classic passionfruit punchiness, yet without the squinty acidity that some sauvignon’s show. Ripe, juicy and rather fantastic with this frittata.
