Yealands Single Vineyard Marlborough P.G.R. 2024 $29 
This is one of my favourite blended whites of the moment. One of my favourites because of its crunchy-crisp, floral, apple and citrus-stacked aromas, its lacing of soft, musky spices and its fresh, lychee-laden mid-palate textures. This bottle of Awatere Valley-grown goodness also wowed me because tasting it coincided with the wave of synth music and foggy effects on the sci-fi TV show I was watching when I tasted it- a wine and music, and TV match made in heaven. Whatever the reason, this is a refreshing, cleansing, and interesting blended white benchmark. Sip with classic sweet and sour pork from your favourite takeaway place
