Superb chardonnay here from an exciting Martinborough producer. Its highly refined nose is crammed with baked nectarine and charred pineapple characters and it totally twins where taste is concerned. Youthfully zingy textures help its stylish, stonefruit flavours race around the gums and tongue and keep the delicious toasty tension in the wine at peak position. It has personality and poise, cashew complexity and sophisticated, caramelised characters to finish. Outstanding with crispy-skinned, tender tarragon roast chicken. Drink now – 2029
