3Sixty2 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2019 $25
Named after the precious assortment of 362 vines in Sir James Busby’s collection from which he planted New Zealand’s first vineyard back in 1836 at Waitangi, 3Sixty2 is the brainchild of talented young winemaker, Alice Rule. Harvested in the cool of the night, this sauvignon blanc carries her unique style from that first whiff of lemongrass and bouquet-garni herbs through to its palate of white peach, soft citrus and creamy complexity from subtle barrel fermentation alongside a little lees stirring. It also rules (geddit?) with rocket and ricotta fritters.
