Tightly-coiled and crammed with savoury tones and exotic spices, this taut, textural pinot noir changes in the glass with every swirl and every sip. As it opens up, this Wanaka-grown wildcat unveils savoury, spice-dusted cherry and tamarillo aromas alongside blueberry, redcurrant and black tea on the palate. Fresh acidity and frisky tannins add to its mid-palate punch and firm finish. Crafted from an Abel-dominated blend also featuring clones 777, 115, 5 and 667, it’s great drinking now, but will reward up to a decade of sleepy time in the cellar.
