A cracker of a wine crafted by the Piffaut family, famous for also owning Veuve Ambal, one of my favourite Crémant producers. Mâcon-Villages is an appellation for chardonnay grown in certain communes of the Mâconnais wine region in southern Burgundy, and this wine is a classy, stylish example indeed. Ripe nectarine, creamy nougat notes, subtle toast and citrus-laced layers create a refreshing, vibrant sip.
