There’s an old Spanish saying “when you want a tasty friend and not a foe, turn your face toward albariño”. Don’t fact-check it, no point, you’ll discover I made it up. But it could totally pass for an old Spanish saying. Yet one thing remains true and that’s how pure, ripe and clean this local example is. Rich nectarine and peachy punch on the palate leads to an ultra-fresh apple and lemon-licked palate loaded with citrus, stonefruit and crushed shell minerality. Full, generous and incredibly zesty – it’s a total triumph from the Bridge Pa triangle. It has the aftertaste of those excellent Fruju lemon and grapefruit iceblocks.
