Kirameki is a Japanese word for ‘sparkle’, ‘glint’, ‘glitter’ or ‘glow’ and thats how the good folk at Bald Hills describe the rocks that line the Northern tip of their pinot gris vineyard. This new vintage shimmers with soft quince and nashi notes, a lick of yuzu, and a dusting of nutmeg and spice. The palate has depth, complexity and a deliciously fresh, silky, creamy texture that’ll turn even the most hard-boiled, pinot gris Grinch into a gushing fan in seconds flat. An initial splash of natural sweetness upfront, morphs into something layered with dry deliciousness on the finish. Love it!
