Sourced from Tony Prichard’s vineyards on the lower slopes of Te Mata peak, this blanc de blanc has just been released after the hand-picked grapes were hand-bottled, hand-riddled, hand-disgorged and hand-labelled after 3 years maturing on its yeast lees. And now its hand-some. Ultra-stylish and sophisticated, this wine contains more lemony, cashew intensity that many champagnes that cost triple this amount. Precision winemaking at its best here, perfectly balanced and incredibly well built, rising dough, brioche, shortbready beauty, it’s toasty and shows great tension and tautness. I am now truly obsessed with this wine.
