“Vitecologists” Rosie Butler and her husband Rodger Tynan have been quietly coaxing this local version of Austrian awesomeness into a bottle for the last 9 or so years and it just keeps getting better. Pronounced ‘Grooner Felt-Leener’, this new vintage is a deliciously, generously dry wine, that gushes with gorgeous white peach, yuzu, and mineral-edged vitality, white pepper, summer flowers, quince and apple characters too. It’s cleansing, refreshing, youthful, yet comfortable in its own skin. This is absolutely my kind of white wine, thought-provoking, tense, textural and all kinds of tasty. I suggest buying it while you can or forever kick yourself.
