From the talented hands of Hawke’s Bay’s Merlot King himself, comes Jason Stent’s new rosé for Paritua’s Stone Paddock range. Crafted from merlot grown in the deep, iron-rich, red gravels of the Bridge Pa Triangle district, this rosé has a full, fleshy, peppery tone to it, while a teensy splash of cabernet franc injects a dried herb and floral tone. It’s a super-dry, Mediterranean style which also boasts a mineral, spicy, anise-like edge to the finish. Pair it with meatballs slathered in satay sauce.
