Fiona and Tom Hutchison created Rock Ferry back in 2005 and developed the organic and biodynamically-grown vineyards at the same time. Allan McWilliams has been making wine for them since the mid-2000s, and he’s obsessed with creating the perfect chardonnay. I think he’s cracked it. Organically grown since 2006, this shiny-new chardonnay heaves with creamy grapefruit pith notes, then the big guns unleash swags of stonefruit, spiced citrus and toasty vanilla-soaked oak.
