Bristol Farm Central Otago Pinot Noir 2017 $49 (yet to be released)

Imagine a bowl full of rhubarb, redcurrants, smashed cherries and wild thyme, and you’ve pretty much got the entire aromatic spectrum of this wine.  On the palate it is beautifully balanced, with the ripe fruit merging with layers of earthy, truffle and spice notes, slippery, silky textures and fresh acidity.  It’s soft and seductive.
