Classic Central Otago characters of black tea, cherry, redcurrant and cranberry burst forth from fruit trucked directly into the Dunedin CBD and made into wine in New Zealand’s first urban winery. Brendan Seal is the winemaker responsible for the Urbn Vino venture and he’s secured sensational sites in Gibbston and Bendigo to supply pinot noir which creates his signature style. Sold in rarely-seen, but very cool, 500ml bottles, the 2018 vintage is silky, spice-driven and lush to sip. Nicely made indeed.
