Misha’s Vineyard Limelight Central Otago Riesling 2016 $28
This gorgeous drop was named in the exclusive ’60 Fine Wines of New Zealand’ list for Air NZ Business Class and was one of only four rieslings to feature, so it’s easy to see why Andy and Misha Wilkinson are fizzing. The Limelight is a consummate performer, packed with pure citrus characters, and it absolutely sings of class and crunch. The 2016 is the current release as they opt to cellar the wines until they’re mature enough to taste at their best. A lovely vein of natural honeysuckle-like sweetness caresses the mandarin, lemonade, and lime layers and accentuates the apple bite that carries through the finish. Pad Thai? Please!
