Here’s something you can announce in front of your friends as you pour this wine. “The soils in which these tidy little pinot gris grapes grow, comprise of fluvial, glacial silts and gravels”. (Now quickly go and google ‘fluvial’). In the desert-dry heat of the Lowburn region, those soils produce pinot gris packed with nashi, quince and apple strudel intensity, a creamy, rich mouthfeel and finishing with a finely-grained texture. Refined, balanced, juicy and eyepoppingly good with classic pear, blue cheese, walnut and rocket salad.
