I LOVE the soft, vanilla and smoke scent that rises from the first whiff of this magnificent little merlot. Give the glass a good swirl to unleash further forest-floor and dark berry notes on the nose. That first sip will reveal rich, complex spices (think Christmas pudding), charry, smoke and black olive awesomeness which osmoses across the tastebuds and joins the fruit concentration and gum-gripping tannins on the finish. Which is a long one. So bring a sleeping bag, some chocolate and someone cuddly along when you decide to crack it open.
