Waipara Hills Riesling 2015 $16.00
Crafted from fruit grown in their ‘Mound’ vineyard near the cellar door in North Canterbury, this is a riesling simply saturated with granny smith apple, honeysuckle and mandarin flavours. Simon McGeorge is the winemaker responsible for this little cracker that’s slightly sweet, crunchy and tangy to taste.

This is an eyepoppingly good value chardonnay that’s had some nicely handled oak attached to a batch of peach-packed, pineapple-edged fruit injected with a seam of banging acidity. It’s multi-layered, fresh, bouncy and gum-numbingly good with gnocchi swimming in sizzling sage butter.
