Hello,
I’m delighted to announce that following on from Dish magazine’s inaugural Panel
Tasting of Pinot Noirs in our current June-July issue, our next Panel Tasting is to focus
on New Zealand Pilsners. (Because we love beer too!)
You are invited to submit your brewery’s Pilsner to be part of the blind competition-style
panel tasting, which will be led by Dish drinks writer Yvonne Lorkin, and will take place
in the Dish offices in mid-June.
The results of the tasting will be published, along with bottle shots, in a ‘Dish
Recommends’ editorial feature in the upcoming August-September issue of the
magazine (on sale July 23) and on our website. The judging panel will decide on a ‘Top
10’ list, which will appear with the ratings and judges’ comments, as well as a ‘Ones to
Watch’ category.
The ratings and judges’ comments for the remaining beers will be published on the
Dish website (www.dish.co.nz).
There is no charge to submit beers for the tastings – but please limit your
submissions to two different beers per brewery. If your beer is awarded Top 10 status
you will be notified following the tasting and also given the opportunity to have the
bottle photographed for the editorial feature, at a cost of $175 ex GST.
The deadline for submissions is 5pm Wednesday June 13 and the tasting will be held
the following week.

see an example of the layout that will be used.)
