Mt Rosa Central Otago Pinot Noir 2016 $35

Incredibly aromatic, this Gibbston-grown pinot erupts with dusty cherry and berry and cocoa characters, plus theres a whiff of rosehip tea and sackloads of spice.  Mouthfeel-wise, where do I start?  Red fruits, currant and cranberry with hints of strawberry and rhubarb and a hint of black tea leaf and leather.  Succulent, smooth and stylishly structured, it’s a winner with duck liver parfait for sure.
