La Galine is a tiny vineyard located in one of the most sought after patches of dirt in the heart of the Minervois (meen-er-verwah) appelation in the Languedoc. Syrah-dominant, with a splash of grenache, this vivid ruby/garnet wine shows violets, cranberry, raspberry and pepper, alongside a seriously earthy backbone. It’s a totally different take on what we as kiwis think of syrah, it’s like a completely different wine. Try it with truffle risotto and be wowed.
