How is it that 2015 was ten years ago already? I’m sorry but that just cannot be true. One way to inject some joy into a rather jarring fact is to sip this incredible aged-release version of Pegasus Bay’s flagship Pinot Noir. Only crafted in exceptional vintages and in tiny quantities from a selection of their oldest, own-rooted vines, here comes a magically moody, broody, leaf-litter and leather-licked style laced with smoked cherry, charred rhubarb, and rooibos tea. Carefully cellared to be released 10 years on from vintage, it’s classy and complex, and a beautifully balanced, lithe wine that’s maturing very nicely and drinking very nicely indeed.
