Known Unknown Eskdale Chardonnay 2021 $30 
Four years on from vintage, this wine, crafted from unirrigated grapes grown on the now non-existent Petane Vineyard site in Eskdale, this Chardonnay is wild, nutty, layered with preserved lemon and scorched pineapple. Cloudy in the glass due to being unfined and unfiltered, and fabulously feral, it’s an unusually tangy style that’ll appeal to anyone keen on oxidative winemaking. Toasty, roasty and slightly smoky, it’s a complex, food-friendly sip.
