This reminds me of the earliest Massey Dacta pinot noirs we tasted, when I asked if winemaker Ben Glover could possibly cram more cherry, raspberry, and cranberry flavours into his wine. The answer was, by pretty much everyone in the room, “Yeah nah” You see, it’s dangerously drinkable, dipped in spices, stacked with smooth, plush plumpness, and definitely a trip down memory lane. Of course, one would expect nothing less from the man who’s one of the most highly awarded pinot crafters in the country. Grab the crockpot and cook a duck cassoulet now!
