Winemaker Chloe Gabrielson has crafted a beautifully balanced Chardonnay that’s absolutely crammed with white peach, grapefruit pith, a lick of lemon and a hint of ripe apple on the nose and palate. Complexity builds in the soft caramelisation of oak, the whisker of popcorn, the vein of creamy composure. Crafted from fruit grown in a single vineyard owned by the Reed family in the Waihopai Valley, a sub-region that sings for Chardonnay. Elegantly styled, buoyantly textured, refreshingly balanced and long on flavour, this wine is a class act. Enough said.
